History
Our patent law firm dates back to 1935.
Our esteemed predecessors Dipl.-Ing. Rolf Charrier, Dr. Ing. E. Liebau as well as his son Dipl.-Ing. G. Liebau have built up close ties with our clients over many decades and established the good reputation of the firm. We have always represented individual inventors and smaller companies as well as world-renowned and globally successful firms. We strive to continue this successful path by providing competent personal advice and a fast and uncomplicated “on-site service” in the Bavarian-Swabian economic area.
Main areas of activity
We advise and represent domestic and foreign companies, mainly from the SME sector, in the fields of patent, trademark and design law.
All patent attorneys are admitted before the German Patent and Trademark Office (DPMA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO/OMPI), the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and/or the European Patent Office (EPO).
In the field of technical intellectual property rights patents and utility models, all disciplines from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and physics to process engineering and chemistry are represented in our firm.
Another focus of our law firm is national and international trademark and design law, i.e. the protection of company and product trademarks and product designs, including the enforcement of intellectual property rights. In addition, we also conduct searches on the state of the art and on already existing industrial property rights in order to provide you with maximum certainty that you are not infringing any industrial property rights of third parties (so-called freedom-to-operate searches).
Furthermore, we conduct infringement proceedings in cooperation with specialized attorneys before the competent civil courts.
In close cooperation with the Swabian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Schwaben), we offer a free initial consultation for inventors.
